A nice happy blog to reflect a nice happy person

Im feeling in a good mood today! Hurrah! ooh err that sounds a bit rah. I think sometimes we are a bit to eager to share our sorrow, or depression but not always happiness. Maybe it's because unhappy things make a better story. Take the news for example...not much happy stuff going on...anyways, so i gonna share the love a bit today-literally. I mean what kinda rubbish word is LOVE. Did you know that in Sanskrit there are 96 words for love, and 83 in ancient persian-for today however i am turning greek. So what have we got...

Eros-plain and simple. Sexual attraction and lust. (Hence erotic)
Storge- This is natural affection, like parent to child.
Philia-This is liking an object, or mild brotherly love.
Agape-This is the daddy of all loves. Meaning unconditional, compassionate, love (and very strong friendship)

You see...how much more descriptive are they. Now we can all talk about love without getting confused about sexual feelings towards chocolate, or our girlfriends being our mothers etc etc.
And it even gives guys a chance to talk about it without sounding unmanly! Now i shall leave you with an interesting thought about love, that i admittedly nicked from somewhere quite famous!

Thought for the Day: Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Glad to hear you're happy, Tim... and yes, maybe we are not very quick to shout out about how happy we are, when we are happy... but then should we really see it as anything abnormal? Surely feeling depressed should be abnormal, so it gets talked about.. happiness should be (in an ideal world) the norm. Then again, maybe that would mean we weren't experiencing full happiness. Ooh... you have me all thoughtful now, I shall have to get back to you on it. Love (one of the 4/83/96) vix x

Hmmmmm...I think Vicky is right...being happy is seen as the norm, expected so when it happens the majority of people don't really think anything of it, over look it! I don't think that we can steroetype tho timmy...there's a lot of people that would give their right arm to feel happy most days...

"love never fails"...doesn't it?
