Hey ho from the land of insane nothingnness...what is insanity.
To claim one is sane suggests that one knows insanity from which to distinguish sanity. By logic there are two ways in which one might find out about insanity: through experience or from a friend. Now if it is the former then it is obvious that the person was insane at some point and so could still be classed as insane. If it was the latter however, then it creates a problem. However at some point there must have already been experience for the concept of insanity to exist, else twould be nothing more than a myth. Therefore at some point an insane man must have spoken from experience and someone must have listened. But the very idea of listening and going by the words of a confessed insane person would seem insane and so consequently the chain of insaity would lead back to the person in question.
Ergo, the claim of sanity by oneself, implies insanity. Hence there is a contradiction.
Anyway..just a thought. nothing mush has happened here at Uni. Went to see a play on friday and a film tonight which was fun. tomorrow is my biiiig essay hand-back day. Arrrrghhhhhh.

Your mark wasn't fixed...it was deserved! Now maybe you will stop stressing, realise your potential...and gloat at the fact that you have proved me wrong!
i think it would depend on whether the person claiming to lie was deemed sane or insane and by whom they were deemed so. if a person claiming to be sane said they were lying then i would not believe them as there would be no sane reason for telling someone you were lying. if a person claiming to be insane then i wouldn't believe anything they said anyway because they were insane. but then from a sane point of view why would you say you were lying unless you meant it? and what if i were insane listening to a sane person tell me they were lying... well then i wouldn't believe anything anyone said because i would be insane to do so.
ergo... i have no idea what the question was and really only wanted to post so you know i still read this, but i dont think you ever read mine! lol
il have you know, that yours is one of three i check very regularly!
And as for my mark, whilst not being fixed it was slightly raised me thinks...
